Hackwood Art Festival is delighted to be supporting Youth Clubs Hampshire and Isle of Wight in 2009.

Youth Clubs Hampshire and Isle of Wight is an organisation comprising approximately 130 youth clubs, groups and projects in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight involving some 17,500 young people and 900 youth workers We are here to work with young people, whose ages range from 8-25, and youth workers to achieve our aim of "working to enable young people to fulfill their true potential". This is done through youth clubs and the special projects we organise for them.

These include a range of activities involving sport and team building, In2Action dealing with behavourial problems, and the Momentum Programme, teaching pre-learners road and car skills and safety on both four and two wheels.

In today´s modern society the problems and challenges faced by many young people of this country, especially the disadvantaged, are huge. The impact of broken families, and unemployment, disrupted education, drugs, drink, teenage pregnancy and crime are all around us in Hampshire as elsewhere in the country.

YCHIOW asks for your help to carry on with our crucial work in helping ensure that our young people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are safe, informed and integrated as constructive members of society.

"The future and nature of this country is in their hands, not ours".

YCHIOW are extremely grateful to the Hackwood Art Festival for nominating them to be their chosen charity. All the money raised will go towards helping young people re-engage with their communities in a positive manner through our In2Action project.
